Is this your first time? Don’t worry, I love helping first timers. It’s not every day you take on a task this large. It can be very intimidating, but in the end, you’ll be glad you decided to make the move. Buying your first home can be scary. 

Here’s a tip- Don’t jump on the first one you see. Unless it’s the one! It’s been known to happen.

There are a lot of myths about buying a home. 

Myth #1- You need a lot of money down 

The truth: In most cases you only need 3.5% down if any money at all (VALoan)

Myth #2- A mortgage payment is more than rent 

The truth: Landlords typically charge 10-20% more than a normal mortgage 

Myth #3- My credit must be perfect 

The truth: Slow credit, no credit and bad credit can be fixed and is not the end
